A bit of history
Ballito is situated along the Dolphin Coast of KwaZulu-Natal, just north of Durban.
The town was established in 1954 as a small holiday destination and was once part of a sugarcane farm owned by Tongaat Hulett.
Originally designed as a seaside escape, Ballito has grown into one of South Africa’s fastest-developing coastal towns — while still holding onto its relaxed beach-town charm.
