A bit of history
Fouriesburg was founded in 1892 and named after Christoffel Fourie, an early settler.
The town became historically significant during the Anglo-Boer War when it briefly served as the last seat of the Orange Free State government.
Today, Fouriesburg is known for tourism, farming, and its scenic setting.
